Machine Learning Engineer, CX Intelligence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design multi-agent systems utilizing advanced orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, Google ADK) to automate intricate customer support processes from start to finish.

• Create and expand integrations using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to link LLMs with internal Coinbase APIs, databases, and third-party tools.

• Construct automated "LLM-as-a-judge" evaluation pipelines to assess, monitor, and enhance the performance of non-deterministic AI agents in production environments.

• Apply RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering methods to ensure chatbot responses are reliable, precise, and aligned with Coinbase policies.

• Deliver production-ready Python services that are robust, low-latency, and capable of managing Coinbase-scale traffic across asynchronous microservices.

• Collaborate with Conversation Design and Product teams to convert complex business logic into actionable agent procedures within a decentralized architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and scaling ML/AI systems in production, showcasing expertise in implementing agentic "Loop" or "ReAct" based systems where AI operates autonomously.

• Comprehensive understanding of the LLM lifecycle, including context window management, token optimization, structured output parsing (Pydantic, JSON mode), and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, Google ADK, or similar).

• Strong command of Python along with practical experience in microservices architecture, asynchronous programming, high-throughput APIs, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, or equivalent).

• Proven ability to articulate model behaviors and technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders across CX, Legal, and Product teams.

• Employs generative AI responsibly, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and promote measurable enhancements in workflow efficiency, costs, and quality.
