This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and enhance computer vision models and deep learning functionalities across the entire product range.
• Collaborate on projects throughout the organization with teams focused on machine learning, software, hardware, product development, and data annotation.
• Engage in the complete machine learning lifecycle, including data collection and annotation, experimentation, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Create high-quality datasets, bolster data integrity, validate model outcomes, and ensure significant production effects.
• Construct and maintain ETL pipelines for both structured and unstructured machine learning data.
• Clean and preprocess datasets while conducting feature engineering.
• Annotate and assess image data consistently throughout the machine learning process.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and statistical analyses to scrutinize data and extract actionable insights.
• Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and conduct experiments with deep learning models tailored for computer vision applications.
• Take ownership of machine learning results, ensuring data quality and model performance from deployment through to product impact.
• Enhance data quality, labeling processes, and machine learning workflows in collaboration with the annotation team.
• Productionize, deploy, and oversee models in conjunction with machine learning and software engineering teams.
• Facilitate accessibility of machine learning processes and outcomes across the organization.
• Make independent technical choices and propel projects forward independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the machine learning or data science lifecycle, specifically concentrating on computer vision.
• Proven experience applying semantic segmentation in a real-world business or production scenario.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow, Jupyter, pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity, quality, and speed.
• Demonstrated ability in performing statistical analyses and rigorously evaluating machine learning models.
• At least two years of experience with a leading cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Understanding of MLOps practices and principles for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining reliable production machine learning systems.
• Strong analytical, programming, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, iterate swiftly, and balance speed with quality standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.
• Availability to work during U.S. Central working hours.
• Comfortable working in active production settings that may be greasy, loud, cold, and physically demanding.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, including domestic and occasional international trips.
