M&A Analyst – Investment Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate financial models utilizing historical financial statements, operational assumptions, and comprehensive projections.

• Assess financial statements for precision and adherence to relevant accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP.

• Recognize and rectify accounting classifications and discrepancies within financial reports.

• Produce detailed, polished, and visually attractive PowerPoint presentations.

• Assist in all phases of M&A deal execution, encompassing due diligence, financial analysis, marketing materials, and transaction documentation.

• Compose clear, professional materials for clients in English.

• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the transaction process.

• Employ AI tools to enhance research, analysis, document preparation, and overall workflow efficiency.

• Handle multiple priorities and deliver precise work under stringent deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of pertinent professional experience; candidates should possess a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 10 years of related experience.

• Direct involvement in mergers and acquisitions.

• Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

• Strong grasp of financial statements and U.S. GAAP.

• Advanced PowerPoint skills with a keen eye for presentation aesthetics.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• High attention to detail with the capability to work autonomously.

• Comfortable utilizing AI tools and adapting to new technology-driven workflows.

• Located in Colombia, preferably Bogotá, though outstanding candidates from other areas may be considered.

• Experience in investment banking, especially within an M&A team, strategy or management consulting related to M&A due diligence, transaction advisory, or M&A accounting at an accounting firm, private equity investment or acquisition teams, or corporate development/internal M&A strategy will be highly valued.
