Logistics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee auto-replenishment and maintain min/max levels for consumables utilized in data center operations across all locations.

• Acquire equipment and consumables for new site establishments, ensuring that materials are available prior to the go-live date.

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and service level agreements with vendors.

• Develop vendor strategies for each site that balance cost, local accessibility, and supply continuity.

• Work in collaboration with Data Center Operations, inventory management, warehousing, and finance to convert consumption data and scheduling into forecasts and purchasing plans.

• Create a purchasing playbook for operational expenditures, including standard catalogs, preferred suppliers, and ordering thresholds.

• Manage commercial storage across an expanding site footprint.

• Ensure timely and complete delivery of materials as site requirements, schedules, and demand fluctuate.

• Enhance logistics processes for improved speed and resource efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience managing min/max levels and replenishment for consumables across multiple sites or within a high-volume operation.

• Background in tracking and minimizing stock-outs and overstock situations.

• Expertise in negotiating vendor pricing tiers, payment terms, lead times, and service levels.

• Ability to choose between national suppliers and local vendors and effectively manage vendor performance.

• Experience in procurement for a new facility or site launch according to a timeline.

• Collaborative experience across operations, warehousing, finance, and engineering departments.

• Data-driven approach to purchasing using consumption history, lead times, and vendor performance metrics.

• Maintain clean and auditable purchasing records.

• Bonus: Experience in data center or critical facilities operations.
