Loan Servicing Specialist – Property Preservation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Conduct initial, follow-up, and specialized property inspections, including FEMA and occupancy verification assessments.

• Evaluate property conditions and determine preservation requirements.

• Ensure that vacant properties are winterized, secured, and properly maintained.

• Coordinate lawn care, debris removal, repairs, pool securing, and various preservation activities.

• Address code violations and comply with municipal/HOA regulations.

• Review bids and oversee contractor management.

• Supervise preservation projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion per investor guidelines.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and investor/insurer requirements.

• Monitor legal changes and regulations impacting property preservation.

• Keep precise records of inspections, preservation efforts, expenses, and communications.

• Log actions in servicing systems and ensure accurate reporting.

• Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders.

• Monitor risks related to code violations, hazard claims, and occupancy status changes.

• Proactively resolve issues to prevent regulatory breaches and financial setbacks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in property preservation, asset management, or a similar field.

• Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, as well as investor/insurer guidelines and industry standards for property preservation.

• Expertise in property management software, including MSP, LoanSphere, Yardi, and FHA Connection.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.

• Experience collaborating with vendors and contractors in a property preservation context.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to coach, inspire, and work effectively within teams.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
