This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Manage mortgage accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, as well as guidelines from investors, insurers, agencies, and the company.
β’ Review case files to confirm adherence to bankruptcy timelines.
β’ Handle bankruptcy processes for assigned cases by coordinating with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other relevant parties.
β’ Oversee bankruptcy proceedings, maintaining records, timelines, and activities within systems/databases.
β’ Follow up on pending requests and phone inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
β’ Conduct audits on accounts for compliance with expenses and ensure accurate application to the record-keeping system.
β’ Investigate questionable loan items, including payment applications and notifications.
β’ Manage exception reporting to reduce risk.
β’ High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience.
β’ Proficient understanding of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to bankruptcy.
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to following strict guidelines and procedures.
β’ Experience with GSE and government processes is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with MSP and LoanSphere is preferred.
β’ Basic knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, the Internet, and Microsoft Outlook is preferred.
