Litigation Partner – Civil Litigation Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee civil litigation defense cases from the initial assessment through to resolution, including preparation for trial.

• Formulate defense strategies, assess claims, and pinpoint opportunities for advantageous results.

• Guide and mentor associate attorneys regarding litigation strategies and case management.

• Manage discovery processes, depositions, motion practices, and other litigation phases.

• Work collaboratively with clients, insurance representatives, and legal teams.

• Evaluate pleadings, discovery responses, and legal documents.

• Prioritize case management and progress litigation while fostering client relationships.

• Make strategic choices and play an integral role in the expansion of the litigation practice.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a recognized law school.

• Active California Bar license in good standing.

• Must currently reside in California.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation.

• Experience in supervising associate attorneys or managing litigation independently from inception to resolution.

• Strong skills in litigation strategy, legal writing, and communication.

• Experience in depositions, discovery, and motion practices is highly valued.

• Preferred experience in personal injury defense, insurance defense, construction defect, habitability, insurance coverage, product liability, or professional liability litigation.
