Liquidity Risk Analyst – limited

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist the Liquidity Risk team in optimizing and managing commodity-trading margin risks throughout the Uniper group.

• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analyses of movements within the margined portfolio.

• Create forecasts and pinpoint key influencing factors.

• Aid in project initiatives and enhance liquidity-risk models within the Liquidity/Credit Risk Systems.

• Support the management of the margined portfolio across various exchanges and OTC markets.

• Execute stress testing and scenario analyses regarding market conditions and liquidity/margining.

• Promote a thorough understanding and modeling of portfolio liquidity risks to assess capital requirements and related costs.

• Build and sustain relationships with commodity trading desks while recommending portfolio optimizations.

• Oversee liquidity risks for the Uniper group and communicate these to stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in business, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in Liquidity/Margining Management, Collateral Optimization, Clearing, or Risk Management within financial services or energy trading.

• Knowledge of clearing processes, initial margin models (SPAN, IRM2), margin call management, value/margin-at-risk concepts, and collateral workflows.

• Acquainted with derivative products and documentation such as EFET, ISDA, and CSA.

• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a strong focus on detail.

• Skilled in data analysis tools like Excel and SQL.

• Experience collaborating in international and multicultural teams.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Capable of communicating confidently and effectively with Senior Management.

• Possess a growth mindset and readiness to embrace new technologies.
