This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, execute, and perpetually enhance cross-functional operational models across US Medical Affairs capabilities.
• Convert strategic priorities into actionable plans, including governance, decision-making rights, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, and performance metrics.
• Evaluate current processes, pinpoint root causes of delays or fragmentation, and implement necessary improvements.
• Set operating standards for request intake, prioritization, handoffs, service expectations, escalation processes, issue resolution, documentation, and performance evaluations.
• Spearhead the implementation and development of the USMA Medical Governance framework, encompassing governance forums, risk and CAPA oversight, audit readiness, health checks, decision documentation, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
• Cultivate organizational effectiveness within Contracting & Business Solutions by refining operating models, clarifying roles, setting objectives, coaching, managing performance, developing talent, planning for succession, allocating resources, and ensuring delivery accountability.
• Collaborate with Clinical Drug Supply to enhance forecasting, planning, ordering, packaging, labeling, distribution, inventory visibility, vendor coordination, issue escalation, and supply continuity.
• Coordinate interdependencies across contracts, drug supply, clinical operations, governance, finance, procurement, legal, quality, and compliance.
• Design enterprise and cross-functional transformations, outlining the rationale for change, future-state vision, operating model, design principles, capability needs, roadmap, and value metrics.
• Develop transformation blueprints that align people, processes, governance, technology, data, decision rights, and ways of working.
• Establish transformation governance to sequence initiatives, manage dependencies and risks, resolve trade-offs, and ensure alignment.
• Create implementation strategies, playbooks, decision frameworks, dashboards, and enabling tools.
• Foster adoption across US, global, and operational delivery teams through stakeholder alignment, capability enhancement, technology enablement, communications, and change leadership.
• Measure transformation outcomes, adoption, and value realization while refining architecture based on performance insights.
• Act as a strategic thought partner to functional leaders, influencing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Encourage a mindset of enterprise thinking, proactive problem-solving, shared ownership, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Advocate for responsible AI use while implementing AI, automation, analytics, collaboration platforms, and digital workflow tools.
• Collaborate with technology, privacy, legal, compliance, quality, and business stakeholders to create governed digital solutions.
• A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, operations, technology, life sciences, or a related field is required.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, supply chain, or another highly regulated industry.
• Proven experience leading strategy, transformation, organizational effectiveness, or capability development in a complex matrix environment.
• Experience in designing and executing complex cross-functional operating models and large-scale transformation or operational excellence initiatives with sustained adoption.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Medical Affairs operations, including governance, contracting, vendor management, clinical drug supply, quality, compliance, risk management, audit readiness, and evidence generation.
• Skilled in diagnosing organizational and operational effectiveness and translating findings into roles, decision rights, processes, systems, technology, stakeholder engagement, and team-level solutions.
• Strong program and project leadership skills, including planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk management, implementation, and value realization.
• Exceptional ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data, external evidence, and stakeholder insights into executive-level recommendations and decisions.
• Experience in developing operational tools, dashboards, trackers, service measures, capacity models, decision frameworks, and governance mechanisms.
• Advanced fluency in AI and digital technologies demonstrated through recognized certification, applied experience, or a portfolio of AI-enabled solutions.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority.
• Excellent executive communication, facilitation, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capacity to work collaboratively and transparently in a highly networked, fast-paced environment.
