Linux Systems Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Manage, patch, troubleshoot, and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments at an enterprise level.

• Design, implement, and sustain Linux-based infrastructure solutions, covering all stages from development to stabilization and documentation.

• Deploy and manage Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms, including the administration of clusters and workloads.

• Create and uphold infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash, and Python.

• Oversee VMware vSphere and Red Hat virtualization environments.

• Manage Linux identity services and their integration with Microsoft Active Directory.

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies, including Zerto and Rubrik.

• Monitor the availability, performance, and capacity of infrastructure, proactively identifying and addressing issues.

• Engage in incident resolution, including critical infrastructure incidents as necessary.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams in a large multinational IT setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Linux, particularly with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), in enterprise environments.

• Extensive experience in Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and infrastructure lifecycle management.

• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.

• Proficient in Ansible and scripting with Bash and/or Python.

• Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Red Hat virtualization technologies.

• Understanding of Linux and Microsoft Active Directory integration.

• Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions like Zerto and Rubrik.

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Knowledge of infrastructure security, monitoring, and capacity planning.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working in a large multinational IT environment.
