This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage L2 tickets and address web stack, email deliverability, configuration, and backup/restore issues at the system level.

• Diagnose root causes, apply controlled fixes, and maintain clear documentation of the processes.

• Execute standard changes including restores, configuration modifications, and follow-up monitoring.

• Refer more complex issues to specialists by utilizing logs, conducting tests, and clearly defining the problems.

• Transform recurring issues into structured runbooks and checklists.

• Participate in the managed operations of hosting and infrastructure environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Linux systems operations: comfortable using the shell, knowledgeable about services and logs, and capable of modifying configurations in a controlled fashion.

• Familiarity with web servers (e.g., NGINX, Apache), PHP runtimes (e.g., PHP-FPM), databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB), and standard mail server configurations.

• Understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, domain management, rescue environments, consoles, and IPMI.

• Knowledge of the distinctions between shared hosting, VPS, and dedicated servers.

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

• Proficient in German and technical English.

• Experience with hosting control panels such as Plesk is an advantage.

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies like KVM or Proxmox is a plus.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Checkmk or Grafana is beneficial.

• Skills in Ansible/Shell scripting are an advantage.

• Basic knowledge of Windows/Active Directory is a plus.
