Licensed Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.

📋 Description

• Deliver evidence-informed family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and concurrent diagnoses in a virtual clinic/telehealth environment.

• Apply Family-Based Treatment (FBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-ARFID), and other evidence-supported interventions across various age groups.

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 patients, dedicating 20-26 hours to direct care while allocating the remaining time to administrative responsibilities.

• Engage in initial and ongoing training opportunities.

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders.

• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Utilize between-session messaging to assist patients and communicate with the treatment team via Equip's electronic medical record system.

• Attend treatment team meetings, supervision sessions, and departmental meetings.

• Maintain licensure in the home state and acquire additional state licenses as needed.

• Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active, unrestricted, and independent license to practice psychotherapy in South Dakota.

• Capability to manage a patient caseload across all ages, co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying levels of acuity.

• Commitment to evidence-based care and treatment.

• Availability to provide care two evenings each week until 8 PM in the primary time zone of the patient caseload.

• Willingness to work 30 hours per week dedicated to direct patient care.

• Ability to commit to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 PM on weekdays, or after 3 PM if residing in the Mountain Standard Time Zone.

• Readiness to attend mandatory meetings.

• Proficiency in delivering care safely and effectively in a virtual setting.

• Enthusiasm for mental health and eating disorder treatment, including expanding access to care.

• Preferred: experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder therapy.

• Preferred: background in evidence-based treatment and/or intensive care environments.

• Preferred: experience assisting patients with suicidal thoughts and trauma.

• Preferred: case management experience and/or collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team.

• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace.

• Willingness to record sessions with patient consent.

• Successful completion of a Master's or Doctoral degree from a mental health counseling/therapy program accredited by CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, MPCAC, or a similar accrediting organization.
