Liability Claims Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Evaluate General Liability, Auto Liability, and Premise claims on behalf of clients to ascertain entitled benefits.

• Maintain continuous adjudication of claims in line with service expectations, industry standards, and client service obligations.

• Conduct investigations and collect information to assess claim exposure.

• Manage claims through action plans to ensure timely resolution.

• Negotiate settlements for claims within the established authority.

• Update claimants and clients on claim activities and processing.

• Report claims to the excess carrier.

• Address requests for directions in a professional and timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of claims management experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.

• Knowledge of multi-jurisdictions is essential.

• Licensing is required; New York license is preferred.

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually.

• Strong judgment, troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capability to manage work-related stress effectively.

• Proficiency in handling multiple priorities concurrently.

• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Competency in computer keyboarding.

• Proficient in hearing, vision, and communication.
