This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop grading rubrics for legal documents that are accessible and applicable to non-experts.
• Evaluate processed legal documents against a predetermined quality control rubric.
• Ensure all identifying and sensitive information has been appropriately managed.
• Identify and categorize defects in the documents.
• Refer unclear cases for further adjudication.
• Engage with various document types, including commercial contracts, employment and HR records, intellectual property and technology agreements, regulatory submissions, corporate records, insurance policies, financing and debt instruments, litigation files, real estate documents, and tax submissions.
• Provide legal expertise to projects aimed at training and improving AI systems.
• Must be a qualified lawyer based in the US.
• At least 3 years of post-qualification experience required.
• Preferably have experience in-house or as a generalist commercial counsel.
• Comfortable working with a variety of document types.
• Experience in managed document review, e-discovery, contract management, or data privacy is a significant plus.
• Proven accuracy and consistency in high-volume review tasks.
• Ability to closely adhere to and enhance written protocols.
• Must be capable of working as an independent contractor.
