Legal Counsel – Benelux

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Lead the negotiation of SaaS agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and various commercial contracts with clients throughout the Benelux region.

• Draft, review, and negotiate partnership, reseller, referral, technology, and integration agreements.

• Assist with new commercial initiatives.

• Provide practical, risk-based legal guidance to the Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success teams.

• Enhance contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation processes.

• Collaborate daily with Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Security, and the broader Legal team.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial negotiations across the Benelux.

• Offer advice on strategic partnership and integration agreements.

• Contribute to the scaling of the legal function through process enhancements and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Dutch law qualification from a recognized Dutch university (LL.B and LL.M).

• Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English.

• Experience in negotiating SaaS and other commercial technology agreements under Dutch law, ideally acquired in-house or at a prominent law firm with a robust commercial practice.

• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating partnership, reseller, integration, or technology agreements.

• A solid understanding of commercial priorities and the ability to pragmatically balance legal risks with business objectives.

• Capability to take ownership, work autonomously, and resolve issues without unnecessary complexity.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate legal concepts clearly and practically.

• Legal authorization to work in the country where this position is located.
