Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Preparation, review, and support of service, marketing, advertising, licensing, and publishing agreements as well as NDAs.

• Negotiating contract terms and amendments with foreign contractors, advertising networks, influencers, and user acquisition partners.

• Legal support for collaborations with contractors, including service agreements through Deel, gig contracts under Diya City, supplementary agreements, and acts of completed work.

• Oversight of the transfer of intellectual property rights and preparation of internal group licensing agreements.

• Maintaining a contract register and monitoring the timelines for fulfilling obligations.

• Supporting residency in Diya City, preparing reports, and interacting with auditors and government authorities.

• Assisting in obtaining the status of a critically important enterprise, booking employees, and managing military records in collaboration with HR.

• Monitoring legislative changes regarding mobilization and reservation and explaining their impacts.

• Supporting the registration and monitoring of trademarks in Ukraine, the EU, and the USA, maintaining an IP register, and protecting trade secrets.

• Safeguarding games against copying, preparing cease and desist letters, and filing complaints with Google Play, App Store, and Amazon Appstore, including under DMCA procedures.

• Addressing claims from rights holders and app stores, preparing appeals regarding the rejection or blocking of games and confirmations of IP rights.

• Monitoring corporate obligations of group companies.

• Reviewing Privacy Policies and Terms of Use for games.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.

• Practical experience with Diya City: supporting residents, gig contracts, obtaining critically important enterprise status, and employee reservations.

• Experience in intellectual property: trademarks, copyright for software, licensing, and claims management.

• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Ability to explain legal risks in simple terms and propose practical business solutions.

• Independence, attention to detail, prioritization skills, and the ability to work with deadlines.

• Experience in game development or mobile applications is an advantage.

• Knowledge of Google Play, App Store, and Amazon Appstore policies, as well as DMCA procedures, is a plus.

• Experience working with foreign jurisdictions, particularly Cyprus, the UK, and the USA, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of GDPR and principles of personal data protection is a plus.

• Proficient use of Notion and Google Workspace, experience with AI tools and automation, particularly n8n, is an advantage.
