Legal Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with partners, payment providers, and other counterparties.

• Provide corporate assistance across a multi-jurisdictional group of companies, including managing corporate documentation and entity-level modifications.

• Assist in the legal evaluation of new product launches and marketing materials.

• Collaborate with external legal counsel in various countries.

• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams on daily legal issues.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of contract templates and internal legal procedures.

• Aid in risk identification and pre-litigation issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of legal experience, emphasizing corporate law and commercial contracts.

• Background at an international law firm (ILF) — 2+ years is a considerable advantage.

• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to independently handle non-standard situations.

• High resilience and comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a fast-paced environment.

• Proactive approach — capable of completing tasks without constant supervision.

• Proficiency in English at B2/C1 level or higher.

• Experience in fintech, crypto, Web3, or payments (preferred).

• Basic knowledge of AML/KYC and GDPR (preferred).

• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions concurrently (preferred).

• Comfort in using AI tools (LLMs) for everyday legal tasks (preferred).
