This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Analyze work products related to legal, regulatory, and compliance issues.
• Evaluate whether conclusions are accurate, thorough, and sufficiently substantiated.
• Detect legal or regulatory deficiencies, unsupported assumptions, and inconsistencies in reasoning.
• Examine recommendations for feasibility, proportionality, and professional integrity.
• Review materials pertaining to regulatory obligations, policies, and internal standards.
• Determine if applicable regulations are interpreted and applied correctly.
• Assess risk evaluations, governance frameworks, and compliance controls.
• Review processes for accountability, escalation, monitoring, and documentation.
• Evaluate risk mitigation strategies and identify deficiencies in control design, ownership, or execution.
• Analyze legal memoranda, policies, procedures, compliance reports, and related documentation.
• Assess the quality of drafting, internal consistency, clarity, omissions, contradictory statements, and unsupported conclusions.
• Review documents, spreadsheets, and presentations for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluate executive presentations for clarity, logical progression, and usefulness in decision-making.
• Identify factual, analytical, aesthetic, and formatting issues.
• Assess whether charts, tables, and supporting materials accurately reflect underlying analyses.
• Evaluate assigned outputs against domain-specific quality standards.
• Provide clear, structured written feedback detailing identified strengths and weaknesses.
• Maintain consistent application of evaluation criteria across various work products.
• Over 5 years of relevant professional experience in legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, corporate law, in-house counsel, risk management, or a closely related area.
• Strong practical knowledge of legal and compliance workflows.
• Experience in reviewing policies, regulatory standards, governance frameworks, or legal deliverables.
• Ability to identify significant legal or compliance deficiencies, unsupported conclusions, and inadequate risk assessments.
• Experience collaborating across legal, compliance, risk, regulatory, or business functions is highly regarded.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint / Google Slides.
• Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills.
• Native or professional fluency in English.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to provide precise, structured feedback.
• Strong attention to legal, regulatory, analytical, and presentation details.
• A Master's degree or higher from a recognized institution is advantageous.
• Must complete work without utilizing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this role.
• Flexible scheduling contingent on project requirements.
