Legal Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of legal expenses claims from the initial evaluation to final resolution.

• Deliver clear and precise legal advice via telephone to policyholders.

• Evaluate and determine the acceptance or denial of legal expenses claims.

• Manage claims throughout their lifecycle and reassess funding decisions as cases evolve.

• Coordinate with policyholders, solicitors, counsel, costs draftsmen, and underwriters.

• Review and negotiate legal fees with solicitors.

• Ensure timely and accurate arrangements for legal cost payments.

• Maintain dependable claims records and suitable financial reserves.

• Handle claims related to employment and property disputes, personal injury, clinical negligence, contractual disputes, and motor prosecution defense.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree (LLB), Legal Executive qualification, LPC, or an equivalent qualification.

• Capability to analyze intricate legal issues and provide confident, accurate legal counsel.

• Experience in direct communication with customers while delivering a helpful, professional service.

• Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Confidence to engage in negotiations with solicitors.

• Solid numeracy skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Prior experience in a legal or insurance environment (preferred).
