Legal Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of legal expenses claims from the initial assessment to resolution.

• Deliver clear and precise legal advice via telephone to policyholders.

• Evaluate and determine the acceptance or rejection of legal expenses claims.

• Manage claims throughout their lifecycle and reassess funding decisions as cases develop.

• Communicate effectively with policyholders, solicitors, counsel, costs draftsmen, and underwriters.

• Analyze and negotiate legal costs with solicitors.

• Ensure the accurate and timely arrangement of legal costs payments.

• Keep reliable claims records and maintain appropriate financial reserves.

• Handle claims related to employment and property disputes, personal injury, clinical negligence, contractual disputes, and motor prosecution defense.

⛳️ Requirements

• A law degree (LLB), Legal Executive qualification, LPC, or an equivalent credential.

• Capability to analyze complex legal matters and provide confident, precise legal advice.

• Experience in direct communication with customers while offering a helpful and professional service.

• Ability to manage a diverse caseload, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Confidence in negotiating with solicitors.

• Good numeracy skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Previous experience in a legal or insurance setting is an advantage.
