Lease Buyer Landman

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage in outreach and lease negotiations with landowners to secure leases and prepare for potential energy development.

• Operate autonomously to connect with numerous landowners across various counties and states.

• Build and maintain a positive relationship with landowners.

• Travel to meet with landowners as necessary, including visits to their properties.

• Negotiate surface and sub-surface leases on behalf of clients.

• Inform landowners about the project details, lease terms and conditions, timelines, processes, and financial arrangements.

• Update an internal database daily for review by Project Managers and clients.

• Provide ongoing reports on negotiation progress and outreach efforts.

• Create Lease Purchase Reports that include executed lease agreements and associated transaction documents.

• Perform supplemental or limited title research in relevant courthouses to verify landowners’ surface and sub-surface interests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates residing in the project area will be given strong preference (DFW, TX area).

• A minimum of three years of experience in lease negotiation, outside sales, or property sale agreements is required.

• Previous experience in oil and gas, energy, or renewable energy negotiations is preferred.

• Active membership with the AAPL is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Google Docs, Sheets, and Drive, is required.

• Intermediate knowledge of basic computer applications, including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, is necessary.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• A high level of professionalism and ethical standards is required.

• Significant travel may be necessary.
