Learning Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Proactively engage with assigned students through email, text, and phone to ensure their continued involvement and progress.

• Create personalized success plans for students identified as at-risk.

• Address academic, motivational, or personal challenges that may hinder completion.

• Monitor students’ academic performance, attendance, and payment status throughout their programs.

• Document every interaction in Stepful’s coaching and CRM systems.

• Keep student records accurate and up-to-date.

• Collaborate with instructors and the Student Operations team to escalate cases of at-risk students and recurring issues.

• Provide insights about students to the Learning team to enhance the coaching model.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in student coaching, academic advising, career services, customer success, or a similar people-focused support role.

• Ability to manage a high volume of outreach and follow-ups via email, text, and phone.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive or high-stakes discussions thoughtfully.

• Highly organized and disciplined in managing a comprehensive caseload of students.

• Quick to learn new tools, including CRM or case-management systems.

• Dependable computer and high-speed internet connection.

• A quiet, professional environment for making calls and conducting video check-ins.

• Availability during daytime hours from Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm ET.

• Experience in healthcare, EdTech, or workforce training is a plus.

• Background in supporting first-generation, career-changing, or historically underserved learners is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Front, HubSpot, or similar CRM/case-management platforms is a plus.
