Lead Virtual Tax Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Manage a remote team of Virtual Tax Professionals

• Recruit, conduct interviews, and onboard seasonal Virtual Tax Professionals

• Provide training on tax regulations, Second Look review processes, transcript analysis, online platforms, and workflow systems

• Develop, oversee, and modify team schedules

• Track attendance, productivity, and adherence to virtual work expectations

• Evaluate performance metrics and offer timely coaching and feedback

• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive virtual workplace

• Offer technical tax assistance and guidance on complex tax issues

• Assist associates in understanding IRS transcripts and identifying resolution opportunities

• Ensure compliance with Internal Revenue Service requirements and company standards

• Provide support for client escalations and virtual service delivery as necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Capacity to lead, inspire, and coach remote teams effectively

• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Experience serving clients in a virtual or remote setting

• Willingness to work extended or varying hours during the seasonal period

• Internet connection with a minimum speed of 15 Mbps

• Experience in supervisory or leadership roles

• Minimum of 3 years in tax preparation and/or tax research

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience

• Preferred: Circular 230 credential (attorney, EA, or CPA)

• Preferred: Experience in leading remote teams

• Preferred: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence or other digital productivity tools

• Preferred: Previous Team Lead experience
