Lead Props Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Prop Artists.

• Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance evaluations.

• Ensure that assets comply with the artistic and technical standards of AAA partners and uphold Gold Standard output.

• Develop and enhance PBR modeling and texturing workflows.

• Oversee task distribution within the team and ensure that deadlines are met across active projects.

• Collaborate with Art Directors, Technical Artists, and Project Managers to identify potential risks and address production bottlenecks.

• Create and maintain technical briefs, style guides, and documentation of best practices for the props department.

• Work on transitioning an atmospheric game universe to a modern engine while capturing its original essence in contemporary AAA graphics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in game art, with a minimum of 2 years in a Lead or Supervisory position.

• A robust portfolio showcasing expert-level hard-surface and organic prop creation in various styles.

• Advanced knowledge of Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.

• Proficient in ZBrush and Substance Suite, including Painter and Designer.

• In-depth understanding of Unreal Engine UE4/UE5 or proprietary AAA engines.

• Complete mastery of PBR workflows, UV optimization, baking, and LOD management.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proven capability to adapt to different art styles and technical specifications without compromising quality.
