Lead Proposal Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Craft comprehensive written responses to intricate, high-scoring Medicaid Request for Proposals (RFPs) that align with the company's growth and expansion objectives.

• Manage projects and address assigned high-scoring RFP inquiries to support both new business and renewal procurement initiatives.

• Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various functions to convert policies, examples, and reports into persuasive narratives.

• Ensure all responses meet RFP specifications and drafting guidelines while aligning with win themes and key differentiators.

• Prepare topic papers in designated areas prior to RFP issuance.

• Act as the department's SME for specific functional domains.

• Offer backup assistance for departmental reporting, competitive intelligence, and project management tasks.

• Guide and mentor departmental staff in RFP response preparation and reviews.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

• Adhere to all company policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related discipline.

• More than five years of experience in proposal writing, ideally within Medicaid managed care.

• Proven track record in managing proposals.

• Experience in marketing, technical, or contract writing is preferred.

• Clinical healthcare experience is advantageous.

• Strong skills in Medicaid proposal writing are preferred.

• A clinical license (e.g., RN, LCSW) is preferred.

• Availability for occasional evening and weekend work may be required during peak RFP and re-procurement periods.
