
Lead Product Engineer – Developer Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take ownership of the Developer Platform while leading a small engineering team.
• Create developer primitives such as projects, environments, secrets, and logs within Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Database.
• Influence the product direction of the Developer Platform from initial discovery to delivery and subsequent iterations.
• Transform developer insights into actionable priorities.
• Identify and address any platform or product decisions that may disrupt the cohesive developer experience.
• Provide the necessary context and clarity to enable teams to make autonomous decisions.
• Set the strategic direction, develop talent, provide feedback, and uphold a high standard for work that is shipped and operated.
• Collaborate with engineers on prototypes, APIs, dashboards, instrumentation, documentation, and production code.
• Define success metrics and evaluate outcomes from the initial deployment through to adoption and growth.
• Collaborate with Compute, Frontend, Design, and Product Marketing on the dashboard, API, CLI, and documentation.
• Proven experience in managing the complete discovery → delivery → iteration cycle at a significant scale, or readiness to assume end-to-end ownership.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to convert ambiguous issues into impactful results.
• Proficiency with data analysis, including funnels, retention curves, measurements, and experimentation.
• Understanding of business and market concepts: Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), pricing strategies, competitive landscape, revenue drivers, and product strategy.
• Solid technical expertise to challenge proposed solutions, make trade-offs, and implement production changes.
• High expectations for quality, reliability, performance, security, and customer trust.
• A history of assisting others in making informed decisions and taking greater ownership.
• Clear communication skills, strong sense of ownership, and a modest approach.
• Familiarity with AI in areas such as research, analysis, prototyping, coding, testing, and communication, with a focus on accountability for quality.
• Previous experience in building developer platforms, deployment tools, or products focused on developer experience is a plus.
• Experience with deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting workloads on similar platforms is advantageous.
• Comfortable engaging with customers and working extensively with technology.
• Prior experience in leading engineers and nurturing talent is a plus.
• Must reside in Europe, ideally within a CET ±3 hours time zone.
