Lead Pre-Registration Pre-Certification Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the supervisor in identifying patients eligible for pre-registration, including both new and returning patients.

• Act as a resource and collaborate with the supervisor to provide staff training.

• Help staff in acquiring proper identification and ensuring demographic and insurance information is accurate.

• Input patient data into the registration system.

• Support staff daily with RTE technology and address EPIC-related issues.

• Aid in new-hire orientation and ongoing training for pre-registration and pre-certification specialists.

• Guide specialists on escalations and solutions regarding pre-certification and pre-registration.

• Report RTE technology problems through Experian via HIT tickets to guarantee precise eligibility responses.

• Add and identify complex coverage issues.

• Manage Work Queues during staff PTO or absences as necessary.

• Assist the supervisor with the Daily Call Log.

• Assign accounts in the absence of the Pre-Registration Supervisor.

• Maintain the real-time authorization database.

• Work on the Virtual Registration Admin Work Queue.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• At least 3 years of experience in admitting/patient registration, pre-registration & pre-certification, or patient accounting.

• A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.

• Ability to perform the professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies relevant to the assigned unit or department.

• Preferred: Over 4 years of experience working in Epic.
