Lead Microservices, AI Technical Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Offer technical guidance and architectural expertise for the design, governance, and advancement of cloud-native, microservices-oriented, and AI-integrated platforms.

• Ensure consistency with enterprise architecture, security protocols, and business transformation goals.

• Spearhead innovative engineering and AI delivery methodologies, including AI-enhanced SDLC, DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and platform engineering standards.

• Propel technology modernization and platform utilization, encompassing microservices improvement, containerization, enterprise systems integration, and reusable patterns.

• Enhance scalability, maintainability, and operational resilience.

• Cultivate organizational capability and technical proficiency through knowledge sharing and engineering governance.

• Manage multidisciplinary teams while promoting engineering excellence and ongoing improvement.

• Impact system builds and engineering choices.

• Direct the integration of AI throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

• Ensure capability transfer during the delivery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess Baseline security clearance.

• Extensive background in designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven architectures within intricate enterprise settings.

• Proven expertise in AI engineering and the delivery of AI-enabled solutions, including enterprise AI capabilities, semantic search, machine learning solutions, and responsible AI practices.

• Strong capabilities in software engineering and platform engineering.

• Experience with contemporary development frameworks, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security by design, and operational excellence.

• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise technology modernization and transformation initiatives.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership abilities.

• Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners, and senior executives.

• Familiarity with designing, implementing, and operating container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, or GKE (desirable).

• Experience in cloud platform modernization, SRE, platform engineering, observability tools, and enterprise-scale automation (desirable).

• Experience in leading delivery within Agile environments, coaching distributed teams, and facilitating capability enhancement (desirable).

• Updated CV limited to 3–5 pages.

• One-page pitch not exceeding 5000 characters addressing all specified criteria.
