This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical direction of customer projects, from scoping and discovery to final delivery.

• Create both high-level and detailed architectures and implementation strategies for GitLab.

• Implement GitLab reference architectures for both self-managed and cloud environments.

• Direct source code management and CI/CD migrations to GitLab, including enterprise migrations utilizing Congregate.

• Deploy and configure GitLab in on-premises setups and major cloud platforms using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.

• Offer consulting on DevOps and DevSecOps practices and provide best-practice recommendations.

• Coordinate implementation efforts among GitLab team members, partners, and customer stakeholders.

• Ensure that deliverables meet customer requirements and adhere to Statements of Work.

• Develop delivery kits, documentation, training materials, presentations, case studies, and enablement resources.

• Assess scalability, security, and compliance factors.

• Sustain delivery automation assets and carry out relevant unit/integration testing.

• Assist in the creation of SOWs, technical vetting processes, staffing evaluations, and monthly release updates.

• Achieve 55% billable utilization.

• Collaborate with customer project teams to define task-level requirements clearly.

• Generally report to the Regional Delivery Manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• Role based in the UK with remote work flexibility.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

• Proven experience in delivering two or more of the following: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services.

• Experience in enterprise software development.

• Progressive experience with DevOps platforms, including the design and implementation of dependable, scalable systems.

• Practical experience in deploying and managing infrastructure across cloud providers and on-premises environments.

• Proficiency in using Terraform and Ansible.

• Ability to write clean and maintainable automation/integration code, along with validating changes through testing and code reviews.

• Experience with migrations to GitLab, including the use of Congregate or similar tools.

• Familiarity with data consistency and integrity concepts, including ACID properties.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and time management abilities.

• Comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous setting.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.
