Lead Medical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Creates, develops, and evaluates various types of materials across a diverse array of project types for different audiences.

• Produces client-ready work for evaluation that is meticulously researched, technically precise, well-articulated, polished (reviewed prior to distribution), and aligns with client goals.

• Assumes accountability for the quality of work produced by junior team members.

• Offers constructive feedback and mentorship to junior writers.

• Cultivates and sustains comprehensive knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas.

• Facilitates client meetings as needed.

• Collaborates closely with the Client Services team to assess timelines, budget hours, and scientific resourcing requirements.

• Effectively manages 1–2 direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (Ph.D., M.D., PharmD, etc.).

• 4–6 years of experience in medical writing within Medical Communications.

• Exceptional scientific and editorial skills.

• Proven experience in establishing strong relationships with clients and healthcare professionals (HCPs).

• Capacity to critically evaluate deliverables for scientific accuracy and integrity.

• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior writers.

• Proactive mindset and eagerness to explore innovative approaches.

• Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
