This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a key team member, providing support and oversight for on-site field operations with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Carry out repairs and diagnostics on medium and major components of wind turbines while working at height.
• Assist in lifting operations for equipment positioned at heights exceeding 250 feet.
• Supervise lifting operations after verifying the skills necessary for handling large components.
• Develop, review, modify, and finalize lifting plans.
• Execute safe and efficient repairs on wind turbine electrical systems.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures as an authorized individual.
• Engage in pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analyses, Risk Assessments, and daily safety briefings.
• Maintain professional interactions with vendors and customers.
• Record work electronically for documentation purposes.
• Provide constructive feedback to the Safety and Quality department aimed at enhancing business operations.
• At least 4 years of relevant direct experience across various platforms.
• Specific experience with turbines is mandatory.
• Experience with Main Component Exchange (MCE) is essential.
• Familiarity with lifting operations is required.
• Capability to read and interpret schematics from multiple wind turbine manufacturers.
• In-depth knowledge and expertise in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to identify potential issues and significant faults.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending English; interpreter services are not available.
• Must possess the ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically to a height of at least 300 feet.
• Must maintain a weight range between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, to comply with OSHA safety standards.
• Capable of lifting and transporting equipment weighing more than 50 pounds.
• Able to work indoors or outdoors in challenging weather conditions.
