Lead Java Full Stack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, high-performance Java applications.

• Offer technical leadership in the design, coding, testing, and deployment of Java-based applications.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define project scope, architecture, and delivery timelines.

• Perform code reviews, promoting coding standards and best practices.

• Diagnose, debug, and optimize applications for enhanced performance and scalability.

• Mentor fellow developers and encourage knowledge sharing.

• Ensure deliverables meet best practices and align with business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Java development with a focus on high-performance applications, showcasing strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.

• Experience in RESTful API development and front-end technologies like Angular and React, with a strong emphasis on Angular.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), including AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, AWS Technical Essentials, and AWS Solutions Architect Essentials.

• Familiarity with observability tools such as New Relic, including New Relic Observability Foundations and Observability Practitioner.

• Proficient in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipeline methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership, project management, and agile methodologies, with effective communication of technical solutions.

• Experience with Claude Code and a proactive mindset.

• Background in microservices architecture.

• Understanding of DevOps practices.

• Advanced proficiency in database management (SQL, NoSQL).

• This position requires candidates to be based in Portugal.
