Lead Java Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to convert open-ended business requirements into specific technical functionalities.

• Establish requirements and edge cases from the ground up.

• Serve as a proactive technical consultant, questioning assumptions and suggesting enhancements.

• Communicate architectural trade-offs to both technical leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

• Design, deploy, and sustain robust microservices, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and relational database schemas.

• Enhance database queries, Redis caching strategies, and Apache Kafka event-driven messaging pipelines.

• Facilitate high-volume real-time data synchronization and e-commerce operations.

• Incorporate AI coding tools into everyday development processes.

• Take ownership of features from inception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational health.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of senior or lead backend engineering experience.

• Proven history of building enterprise distributed systems.

• Capability to comprehend complex business logic in real time, ask pertinent questions, and communicate clear technical solutions.

• Extensive expertise with Java 17/21/25.

• Proficient in Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

• Skilled in Hibernate/EF ORMs.

• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Familiarity with Redis and Apache Kafka.

• Essential verbal and written proficiency in English.

• Ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical business partners.

• Strong understanding of microservice design patterns.

• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Innovative mindset towards the utilization of AI tools.
