This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Act as the primary technical lead deployed on customer projects within the defense, intelligence, and aerospace sectors.
• Develop, construct, and implement customized data science and integration solutions on-site.
• Design and execute enterprise integrations utilizing the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform or similar iPaaS tools.
• Create and implement workflow automation using Regrello or comparable orchestration tools.
• Integrate AI/ML models, bespoke data pipelines, and automation processes for predictive maintenance, personnel planning, and logistical decision-making.
• Collaborate with customer IT and security teams to expedite Authority to Operate and production launches under DoD IL5/IL6 and relevant regulatory guidelines.
• Work alongside internal product and engineering teams to co-create integration patterns and data science capabilities.
• Facilitate the adoption of contemporary data platforms and integration middleware for field operations, asset visibility, command center analytics, and secure workflows.
• Guide junior FDEs and disseminate lessons learned within the engineering community.
• Convert mission objectives into data and integration roadmaps and present insights to senior stakeholders.
• Design and implement production-grade ML and analytics systems, predictive models, intelligent automation pipelines, and LLM-enhanced workflows.
• Oversee data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, feature engineering, and integration strategies.
• Lead rapid prototyping and MVP development in collaboration with customer teams.
• Over 8 years of experience in a hands-on, end-to-end delivery role for high-quality, scalable production solutions.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering field.
• Expert-level skills in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or SQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, including model creation, MLOps pipelines, LLM integration, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Proven expertise in enterprise integration platforms and API-led connectivity design.
• Demonstrated proficiency in workflow orchestration and process automation tools.
• In-depth knowledge of data modeling, processing, and analytics with enterprise data platforms.
• Proven capability to perform in ambiguous, customer-site environments.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven track record of leading technical engagements, mentoring junior FDEs, and managing technical delivery from start to finish.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time to customer locations, including classified facilities.
• Must be a U.S. citizen (either born or naturalized) residing on U.S. soil without holding dual citizenship.
• Eligible for and ready to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Must consent to completing a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position.
