Lead Field Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, refurbishment, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of synchronous and induction machines, along with excitation and AVR systems.

• Address requests for emergency repairs and services promptly.

• Offer technical guidance and support to customer representatives concerning installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at client locations.

• Draft technical reports, procure materials, obtain quotations, and compile job status reports, customer documentation, timesheets, and expense reports.

• Lead and provide technical oversight to skilled labor executing tasks at customer sites.

• Uphold a strong safety focus and ensure that all work performed aligns with GE's safety standards.

• Create timely and precise technical reports for customer documentation and future outages.

• Oversee maintenance facilities and field services engineering operations.

• Carry out tasks under direct operations supervision and established work instructions within a defined operational framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• At least 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience with electrical motors and generators.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 80% of the time, as necessary.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Capability and readiness to work remotely when required.

• Ability to function effectively with minimal supervision.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Previous field services experience is advantageous.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Experience in project management is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
