This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Execute hands-on tasks such as rack-and-stack operations, equipment staging, cabinet preparation, server and switch installations, cable management, and cabinet closeout procedures.
β’ Oversee daily field operations for technicians, helpers, and subcontractors; delegate tasks, track progress, and ensure the team adheres to the project plan.
β’ Route, dress, label, connect, and diagnose issues with copper and fiber-optic cabling while adhering to drawings, port maps, cable schedules, and work instructions.
β’ Review work for accuracy in labeling, port placements, bend radius, cable dressing, cleanliness, slack, photographs, test results, and overall quality; address issues promptly.
β’ Accurately document serial numbers, asset tags, MAC addresses, photographs, completion records, redlines, test results, and updates to the issue log.
β’ Deliver clear daily updates on completed tasks, obstacles, rework, outstanding items, risks, and subsequent steps; escalate conflicts in scope and field conditions promptly.
β’ Exemplify safe and professional behavior in secure customer environments, including the use of PPE, maintaining cleanliness, adhering to access requirements, confidentiality, and exercising stop-work authority when necessary.
β’ Participate in ongoing security awareness training and adhere to company policies.
β’ Recognize and report security risks to the relevant Executive Leadership Team member and assist in remediation initiatives.
β’ Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of experience in data center, telecommunications, structured cabling, low-voltage, or network infrastructure installation.
β’ Proven experience in leading technicians, helpers, subcontractors, or small field teams while maintaining a hands-on approach to work.
β’ Practical understanding of copper and fiber cabling, rack installation, server and switch setups, cable management, labeling, testing, and issue remediation.
β’ Capability to interpret and implement rack elevations, cabinet IDs, U positions, port maps, cable schedules, drawings, runbooks, checklists, and field instructions.
β’ Knowledge of fiber cleaning and inspection, connector maintenance, polarity, bend radius, fundamentals of VFL/OLTS/OTDR, wiremap, and basic copper testing concepts.
β’ Strong skills in quality control, documentation, communication, problem-solving, and customer service, with the discernment to verify before proceeding.
β’ Valid driver's license.
β’ Willingness to use rental vehicles and travel 75%-90% of the time.
β’ Capability to work extended hours and non-standard schedules.
β’ Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in active job site environments.
