Lead Data & AI Engineer – Palantir Foundry, AIP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee Foundry data pipelines, ontology components, and applications.

• Create semantic and context layers utilizing Palantir ontology Object, Link, and Action Types, Interfaces, and Property Sets.

• Construct LLM-driven workflows with AIP Logic, AIP Automate, and AIP Assist.

• Transition agentic AI use cases from prototype to production by building, testing, deploying, and monitoring them.

• Act as the Palantir lead for the team while staying actively involved.

• Direct solution design, review code, mentor engineers, and address technical challenges.

• Take ownership of technical delivery and convert business requirements into execution plans through production deployment.

• Facilitate technical discussions with client stakeholders, clarifying design decisions, trade-offs, dependencies, and delivery risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with Palantir Foundry and/or AIP on real client or production projects.

• Strong preference for experience in developing agentic or GenAI applications.

• Excellent software engineering and problem-solving capabilities.

• Background in integrating AI with enterprise data sources, APIs, and business systems.

• Solid experience in data engineering across both structured and unstructured data.

• Adaptability to rapid delivery cycles and changing requirements.

• Proficient in English with effective communication skills for both technical and business stakeholders.

• Must be able to work during EST business hours.

• Nice to have: Solutions deployed to production within Palantir.

• Nice to have: Familiarity with Ontology Linter, Data Lineage, CBAC, and Foundry Marketplace.

• Nice to have: Knowledge of semantic layers, ontologies, or knowledge graphs.

• Nice to have: Experience with Azure, Azure AI Foundry, Databricks / Genie.

• Nice to have: CI/CD experience with GitHub and DevOps / DevSecOps tools.

• Nice to have: Background in deploying models from OpenAI, Anthropic, or other LLM providers, including model selection and cost optimization.

• Nice to have: Experience in creating reusable agent skills, tools, or components.
