This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Collaborate with software engineers, renowned researchers, and solutions architects to influence decisions through modeling.
• Define and guide a final vision focused on simplicity, digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.
• Simplify complex interrelated modeling systems to guide senior business leaders on model strategy, business applications, and associated risks.
• Evaluate, question, and defend cutting-edge decision-making systems to both internal teams and regulatory stakeholders.
• Direct the development of machine-learning models from conceptualization through training, evaluation, validation, and deployment.
• Manage benchmark and challenger model development to rigorously test important modeling decisions.
• Create AI/ML models and develop solutions for autonomous AI products.
• Design experiments and A/B tests, monitor model performance, and translate findings into AI strategies and recommendations for executive leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline plus 11 years of experience in data analytics, or a Master's degree/MBA with a quantitative focus plus 9 years, or a PhD in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience.
• Currently possesses or is in the process of acquiring the necessary degree, with completion expected by the designated start date.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience utilizing open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis.
• At least 6 years of experience in the field of machine learning.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience working with relational databases.
• Practical experience in developing data science solutions utilizing open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
• Experience in building, validating, and backtesting models.
• Familiarity with clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series analysis, and deep learning techniques.
• Preferred: PhD in STEM with 5 years of experience in data analytics.
• Preferred: Minimum of 6 years experience in Python, Scala, or R for large-scale data analysis.
• Preferred: At least 6 years of experience in machine learning.
• Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS.
• Preferred: At least 6 years of experience with complex architectural patterns (SOA), APIs, microservices, and event streams.
• Preferred: A minimum of 6 years of experience with DevOps or DevSecOps and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Artifactory, Chef, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation, GitHub, and Sonar.
