This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and manage data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that supply the cloud data warehouse.
• Take ownership of data freshness, reliability, cost efficiency, coverage, latency, and enhancements to infrastructure.
• Create and sustain data models, tests, validations, observability, lineage, metrics, semantic layers, and documentation.
• Deliver a standardized library of versioned definitions.
• Define data contracts for internal AI and programmatic access, including MCP.
• Establish the authoritative source for business and finance data.
• Collaborate with Product Analytics, Product ML, and AI developers on strategic roadmaps.
• Supervise and evaluate the work of a two-person team, with plans to expand the function.
• Launch one significant internal AI-driven initiative each quarter.
• Integrate AI into daily operations and identify further opportunities for its application.
• Experience in building and operating production pipelines/ELT processes into a cloud data warehouse.
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with skills in orchestration and warehouse modeling.
• Practical experience in creating a trusted, self-service data layer with tests, observability, lineage, metrics or semantic layers, and documentation.
• Proven ability to define contracts between a data platform and programmatic consumers, including schemas, semantics, guarantees, and scoped access.
• Experience in deploying AI/ML to production and assessing the viability of various ideas for development.
• Background in supplying data for analytics and ML teams, as well as reconciling revenue, finance, and GTM data.
• Developed or expanded a data capability from a small base as the founding technical leader.
• Capability to articulate modeling decisions to non-technical executives in business-friendly language.
• Preferred: deeper experience with LLM/agentic frameworks, orchestration systems, evaluations, RAG; MCP servers or internal APIs; analytics engineering (dbt) and BI enablement; Salesforce and GTM systems data; and exposure to payments, fintech, or the nonprofit sector.
