Lead CyberSecurity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Anticipate and schedule roadmap tasks into bi-weekly sprints.

• Reprioritize tasks based on industry shifts, utilizing independent decision-making and technical expertise.

• Establish security solutions for web applications, APIs, and services hosted in the cloud.

• Design and execute security measures.

• Lead and enhance WAF and Bot Management platforms, including Akamai, Cloudflare, Imperva, AWS WAF, Azure WAF, and F5 Distributed Cloud.

• Implement best practices for OWASP Top 10, API security, authentication, and attack mitigation.

• Create security automation using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and related technologies.

• Assess threats and explore vulnerabilities.

• Execute mitigation strategies and promote remediation efforts.

• Offer insights on AI-related security risks and support automated remediation projects.

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams.

• Lead roadmap development, technical projects, and Agile-based security initiatives.

• Act as a trusted consultant on web application and edge security issues.

• Propel security enhancements across the enterprise.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or information security.

• More than 5 years of practical experience in designing and managing WAF and Bot Management solutions.

• In-depth knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API security, authentication, and web security frameworks.

• Experience with HTTP/S, TLS/SSL, DNS, CDNs, load balancing, and cloud-based applications.

• Practical experience with Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or tools for security automation.

• Demonstrated capability to evaluate threats, lead remediation initiatives, and manage complex security projects.

• Preferably experienced in AI security, security automation, and DevSecOps methodologies.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.

• Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated sectors is preferred.

• Must have home internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.

• Ability to work from a dedicated area free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
