Lead Consultant, Data Architecture – Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance for small to medium-sized technical teams.

• Assign and distribute tasks among team members.

• Address technical escalations and provide support.

• Represent the team in Agile ceremonies and client meetings.

• Make informed technical decisions while mentoring and guiding junior team members.

• Foster relationships with project, client, and company leadership while remaining actively involved.

• Design and implement logical and physical data models for cloud-based and hybrid data warehouse environments.

• Develop data architectures that support structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Execute full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.

• Create data architectures that facilitate data integration processes.

• Conduct data profiling and develop source-to-target mappings.

• Provision and configure Azure data service resources.

• Construct data pipelines based on requirements.

• Collaborate with APIs and potentially develop APIs.

• Formulate strategies to transition customers from on-premise environments to Azure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in leading small to medium-sized technical teams, including work allocation, technical escalation management, and representing the team in Agile ceremonies and client meetings.

• Proficiency in designing and implementing logical and physical data models for cloud and hybrid data warehouse environments.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing data architectures that support structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

• Experience with multiple full life-cycle data warehouse implementations.

• Knowledge of data architectures necessary for supporting data integration processes.

• Familiarity with data modeling technologies such as ER/Studio, ER/Win, or similar tools.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Platform services, including Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Logic Apps, and APIs.

• Capability to quickly learn, adopt, and apply new technologies.

• Expertise in data profiling and the creation of source-to-target mappings.

• Ability to provision and configure Azure data service resources.

• Proficient in Python and SQL scripting.

• Experience with SQL and PySpark.

• General competency in cloud architecture; capable of translating requirements into data pipelines.

• Required API knowledge, with a preference for candidates who can create APIs.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cosmos DB, Data Flows, Express Route, and Azure Active Directory.

• Proven track record in creating strategies for migrating customers from on-premise environments to Azure.

• Experience with Power BI and semantic modeling.

• Knowledge of AWS Glue and Azure Data Factory.

• Familiarity with AWS S3 and Azure Blob.

• Experience with AWS Athena and Azure Databricks.

• Knowledge of AWS Redshift and Azure Synapse.

• Familiarity with AWS ECS and Azure AKS.
