Lead Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Oversee product discovery and business analysis for intricate digital products, workflows, and transformation initiatives.

• Organize and lead interviews, workshops, and collaborative discovery sessions with stakeholders from business, customer, and technology sectors.

• Gather, analyze, and scrutinize requirements, assumptions, constraints, risks, and dependencies prior to the commencement of delivery.

• Convert business outcomes into epics, features, user stories, process models, business rules, and verifiable acceptance criteria.

• Prepare squads and organize work for sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and prioritization.

• Collaborate with Squad Leads and Quality Assurance to ensure acceptance criteria are clear, measurable, and validated through an appropriate approach.

• Assume responsibility for testing readiness and coordinate with the Quality Assurance Lead to define test scenarios, assist with execution, review results, and ensure defects are resolved.

• Validate delivered outcomes with stakeholders and relay findings, defects, and recurring operational issues back to the product backlog.

• Map out current and future-state processes while identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, responsible AI integration, and data-driven decision-making.

• Create reusable templates, quality standards, and best practices for business analysis and product discovery.

• Assist other analysts and work in collaboration with developers, Quality Assurance, program management, and business stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business analysis, product discovery, or digital product delivery.

• Proven experience leading analysis for complex software products, platforms, or transformation initiatives.

• Strong skills in facilitation, requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution.

• Established ability to produce high-quality user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, workflows, and supporting documentation.

• Experience in modeling IT systems, system interactions, and behaviors to clarify requirements and aid solution design.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for drafting, refining, and validating requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring proper human review and governance.

• Practical experience with Jira and Confluence for managing requirements, backlogs, traceability, and delivery documentation.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies while balancing iterative delivery with suitable project management discipline and governance frameworks.

• Experience collaborating closely with developers, Quality Assurance, and product or program leaders.

• Strong analytical skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions while maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders.

• Ability to align strategic objectives with measurable product outcomes and delivery-ready work.

• Professional proficiency in English and comfort working with colleagues across international locations.

• Preferred: experience taking on a lead, mentor, or practice owner role for Business Analysts.

• Preferred: background in B2B SaaS, sustainability, manufacturing, supply chains, chemical data, assessment, or compliance products.

• Preferred: experience in process modeling, service design, data analysis, and product management techniques.

• Preferred: familiarity with Scrum, Kanban, OKRs, and modern product operating models.

• Preferred: experience in identifying practical automation and AI-assisted opportunities while adhering to governance and risk controls.
