Lead Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Convert customer requirements and business objectives into effective technical solutions.

• Recognize essential user journeys and non-functional specifications.

• Investigate, design, estimate, and oversee the implementation of intricate technical solutions for enterprise-level applications.

• Develop applications that are future-ready, focusing on performance, lifecycle flexibility, maintainability, and governance.

• Evaluate and mitigate technical debt and architectural conflicts.

• Conduct application health assessments and suggest coding best practices along with improvements in architectural patterns.

• Encourage reuse by gathering reusable code assets and ensuring their availability to projects.

• Enhance team technical skills through documentation and mentoring on architectural patterns and coding best practices.

• Leverage development experience to offer robust architectural advisory support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with OutSystems.

• At least 1 year of experience in a Tech Lead and/or Lead Architect role.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structure modeling.

• Proficient in solution design, architectural patterns, and application performance tuning.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, Distributed Architectures, Microservices principles, and Domain Driven Design.

• In-depth knowledge of the OutSystems Platform, including its composition, behavior, and architectural foundations.

• Comprehension of the OutSystems security framework and best practices for infrastructure and applications.

• Experience utilizing OutSystems Architecture Canvas.

• Experience with the Architecture Dashboard.

• Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• OutSystems certifications are a plus.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences.

• Effective leadership abilities.

• Enthusiasm for learning and assisting others in navigating complex topics.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
