Lead Applications Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, modify, debug, and assess programs for functional or operational areas.

• Evaluate complex business challenges and identify automated system solutions.

• Provide technical expertise in recognizing, assessing, and creating cost-effective systems and procedures that align with user needs.

• Analyze current programs or devise logic for new systems.

• Create logic procedures, prepare flowcharts, conduct coding, and test/debug programs.

• Develop plans for conversion and system implementation.

• Prepare and secure approval for system and programming documentation.

• Suggest modifications in development, maintenance, and system standards.

• Configure system settings and options accordingly.

• Plan and carry out unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

• Generate system specifications to satisfy business requirements.

• Train users on system conversion and implementation as necessary.

• Handle production deployments, maintenance-window testing, and Epic upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.

• Eight (8) years of pertinent technical or business work experience.

• Experience in data warehouse development utilizing SQL, Oracle, Linux/UNIX, IBM DataStage (Infosphere), and/or Java (Spring).

• Basic knowledge of data modeling, including entity relationship and dimensional models.

• Proficiency in data profiling and data analysis using SQL.

• Familiarity with agile project methodologies, including Agile, SCRUM, and Kanban.

• Extensive experience throughout the entire software development life cycle.

• Significant experience applying code management principles.

• Desired proficiency in Java with Angular, Spring Boot, and UI development.

• Experience with Azure cloud is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues in various environments.

• Must possess a collaborative team spirit.

• Availability to work some late-night hours for production deployments, testing during maintenance windows, and/or Epic upgrades (overnight from 1am–5am).
