This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Perform legal research pertaining to various cases.
• Compile case materials and systematically organize information for legal documentation.
• Draft research memos and assist in preparing pleadings and motions under the supervision of an attorney.
• Evaluate legal issues and identify suitable defenses, arguments, and strategies for litigation.
• Create briefs, legal memoranda, and issue statements with recommendations.
• Examine filed complaints, petitions, and motions.
• Generate responsive pleadings and correspondence.
• Assist trial attorneys with the preparation of trial, mediation, and arbitration documents and binders.
• Participate in court sessions, depositions, mediations, and trials, documenting essential case information.
• Bachelor’s Degree is mandatory.
• Enrollment as a second or third-year law student is required.
• A strong interest in civil litigation, personal injury, or insurance defense is essential.
• The ideal candidate should have some experience in drafting motions.
• Availability of approximately 20 hours per week during the academic semester is required.
• Proficient in conducting legal research and analyzing legal matters.
• Capable of preparing briefs, legal memoranda, pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Ability to assist with the documentation and binders for trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Must be able to attend court sessions, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Capacity to operate a computer continuously for extended durations is necessary.
• Candidates must be located in California.
