Large Loss Property Adjuster – Field Estimating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Visit customers' residences to perform on-site evaluations.

• Assess property claim coverage thoroughly.

• Create estimates and resolve claims efficiently and promptly.

• Manage virtual claims nationwide utilizing Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, and other tools.

• Specialize in water-loss claims.

• Deliver empathetic, transparent, and customer-oriented claims assistance.

• Conduct comprehensive damage assessments and interpret policies to ascertain coverage.

• Interact with customers via phone, email, and video calls.

• Customize communication to suit customer preferences and provide updates on claim progress.

• Assess and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants.

• Utilize estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to settle claims.

• Implement policies in line with policy agreements.

• Ensure timely and precise claim documentation in the claims system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Anne Arundel County, MD or nearby areas.

• 4-5 years of prior experience as an outside adjuster is highly preferred.

• Experience managing claims involving multiple trades and losses exceeding $100,000.

• Familiarity with Xactimate and other relevant estimating software is advantageous.

• Strong analytical and technical abilities to accurately evaluate damages.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to travel to customers' homes and manage virtual claims across the country.

• Must be detail-oriented and organized.

• Residency in the specified location is essential.

• Not available for residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.

• Willingness and capability to lift a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with pitches up to 6/12.

• Valid driver's license and readiness to travel.

• Approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX is mandatory.

• Ability to secure the necessary adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hiring if required.

• Active insurance license holders must relinquish current appointments and cannot hold outside appointments during employment.

• Applicants with a resident producer license must surrender it when directed.

• Background check is required.

• Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas.

• Must have a dedicated private workspace at home with an appropriate desk and seating.

• Reliable internet connection with a minimum of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload speeds is required.
