Large Loss Property Adjuster – Field Estimating

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver outstanding service to policyholders

• Visit customers' residences for on-site inspections

• Assess coverage and property damage

• Create estimates and resolve claims swiftly and effectively

• Manage virtual claims nationwide utilizing platforms such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration

• Specialize in fire and water damage cases

• Interact with customers via phone, email, and video chat

• Provide customers with options for communication and updates on claim progress

• Evaluate and negotiate claim settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants

• Employ estimation tools, job aids, and settlement platforms to resolve claims

• Accurately document claim activities in the claims system in a timely manner

• Safeguard the company's financial interests by adhering to policy agreements

• Participate in approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, Texas

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience as an outside adjuster is strongly preferred

• Experience managing claims involving multiple trades and losses exceeding $100,000

• Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant estimating software

• Strong critical thinking and technical abilities to accurately assess damages and expedite claim settlements

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims across the country

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Residency in the specified location is required

• Capable of lifting a 50-pound ladder and accessing roofs with pitches up to 6/12

• A valid driver's license and readiness to travel

• Individuals currently holding an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold external appointments during employment

• Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when directed

• May need to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire

• Required to pass a background check

• Must have a dedicated, private workspace at home

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload

• This position is not open to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico

• Allstate typically does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this role
