Language Specialist – English (Canada), Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in discussions with the language model regarding various language scenarios.

• Evaluate advanced language models on topics related to the English language.

• Assess the factual accuracy and logical consistency of outputs.

• Document reproducible error traces and identify model failure modes.

• Provide suggestions for enhancing prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Contribute to the training of future AI systems by supplying high-quality linguistic data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the English language, covering grammar, syntax, morphology, semantics, phonetics, and pragmatics.

• Strong understanding of sentence structure, verb tense and aspect, vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, pronunciation, and cultural nuances.

• Ability to communicate clearly and metacognitively (“showing your work”).

• A degree in English language, linguistics, or a closely related discipline is preferred.

• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, teaching, or practical linguistic analysis projects is a plus.

• Must have a secure computer and high-speed internet connection as a contractor.
