L2 Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Take charge of network support and infrastructure within client environments.

• Diagnose and resolve network issues across LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall settings.

• Provide connectivity assistance for remote users and field teams, including iPads and mobile devices.

• Configure, maintain, and support network infrastructure effectively.

• Investigate and address connectivity and network performance challenges.

• Support networking environments within Microsoft Azure.

• Configure and troubleshoot VNets, connectivity, and associated networking components.

• Aid in maintaining consistent connectivity across cloud and client environments.

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential problems.

• Efficiently resolve network outages and minimize service disruptions.

• Collaborate with Systems Engineers on more extensive technical incidents.

• Provide support for escalations and critical network outages.

• Maintain clear communication throughout incidents and their resolutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.

• Practical expertise in Microsoft Azure, especially with Azure networking components.

• Experience in supporting Microsoft 365 environments.

• Hands-on experience with RMM/PSA platforms like Kaseya, N-able, or similar.

• Strong knowledge of firewalls, routing, and switching technologies.

• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting VPNs.

• Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and fundamental networking principles.

• Experience with Azure VNets, NSGs, and connectivity aspects.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to remain calm and methodical during outages and critical incidents.

• Confidence in clearly explaining technical issues to non-technical users.

• Proactive approach aimed at preventing recurring issues.

• Strong collaboration skills with other technical teams during incidents.

• High level of accountability and ownership in work responsibilities.
