This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Design, execute, and oversee the University’s export control and knowledge security policy.
• Provide guidance to researchers and staff regarding Swiss, EU, and US export control regulations.
• Assist in the classification of controlled goods and technologies and coordinate license applications with SECO.
• Create and supervise compliance procedures in accordance with the Nagoya Protocol.
• Offer advice on due diligence, notification, and documentation obligations related to genetic resources.
• Facilitate training and awareness initiatives on export control, knowledge security, and Nagoya compliance.
• Track legislative changes and ensure clear compliance reporting.
• Deliver legal and regulatory support to researchers, administrative units, and institutional stakeholders within the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Unit.
• Swiss Master’s degree in Law or an equivalent qualification.
• Specialization in export control law and international regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with compliance systems and regulatory reporting processes.
• Excellent communication and training abilities.
• Self-sufficient, organized, and collaborative working approach.
• Proficiency in English and either French or German.
